Diversified Chiropractic technique is one of the most widely practiced manual adjustment methods in our chiropractic care. We use this hands-on approach to restore proper movement and alignment of the spine and joints with fast, gentle thrusts. These adjustments may be associated with cracking or popping.
Unlike other techniques that rely on instruments, we perform Diversified Technique manually, tailoring each adjustment to the individual needs of our patients.
Before adjusting, we assess spinal misalignments through touch (palpation) and movement tests to ensure precision. Our goal is to restore normal joint function, support the nervous system, and promote natural healing.
This technique is a key part of our chiropractic care, known for its effectiveness in improving mobility and reducing discomfort. To achieve the best results, we combine it with exercises and lifestyle guidance, helping our patients move and feel their best.
The Activator Technique is a gentle, low-force chiropractic method that uses a small handheld instrument called the Activator to deliver precise adjustments to the spine and joints. This technique is designed to help you without the need for manual twisting or cracking.
We use the Activator to deliver quick, targeted impulses to specific areas of the spine. The controlled force of the instrument helps stimulate the nervous system and restore normal function.
The Activator Technique is ideal for patients who prefer a gentler approach or those with conditions such as osteoporosis, arthritis, or chronic pain. It is also commonly used for children and older adults.
At Haelan Chiropractic, we also incorporate elements of Thompson Drop Technique and Sacral-Occipital Technique (SOT).
The Thompson Technique uses a specialised drop-table to deliver gentle and precise adjustments. This technique allows us to make corrections with minimal force by using sections of the table that drop slightly as we apply a controlled thrust.
The drop mechanism enhances the effectiveness of the adjustment while reducing the need for manual twisting or excessive pressure. Before performing adjustments using the Thompson Technique, we assess spinal alignment mostly through leg-length analysis.
This method is suitable for patients of all ages, including those who prefer a gentler approach to chiropractic care.
Sacral-Occipital Technique focuses on the relationship between the sacrum (base of the spine) and the occiput (base of the skull).
It aims to optimise the flow of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and restore proper function to the nervous system by addressing structural imbalances in the body. CSF is important as it nourishes and protects the brain and spinal cord.
